Andrew Flynn Wins 2025 UK’s Strongest Man Competition

The 2025 UK’s Strongest Man competition took place on June 29 in Nottingham. There were eight competitors that gathered for the event with Andrew Flynn taking home the overall prize. Flynn finished with 34.5 points, edging out Chris Beetham’s 33 points.

  • First Place – Andrew Flynn, 34.5
  • Second Place – Chris Beetham, 33
  • Third Place – Paul Smith, 32
  • Fourth Place – Dean Mason, 25
  • Fifth Place – Jacob Brooke, 19.5
  • Sixth Place – William Jones, 13.5
  • Seventh Place – Jamie Nelson, 10.5
  • Eighth Place – Scott Fraser, 8

2025 UK’s Strongest Man Event Results

Event One: Max Car Squats

The Max Car Squats kicked off the competition. The athlete who ended with the heaviest one-rep max would win the event. A car was loaded onto the platform and plates kept being added onto the machine.

  • First Place – Paul Smith, 330kg
  • Second Place – Andrew Flynn, 320kg
  • Third Place – Chris Beetham, 320kg
  • Fourth Place – Jacob Brooke, 320kg
  • Fifth Place – Dean Mason, 280kg
  • Sixth Place – William Jones, 250kg
  • Seventh Place – Jamie Nelson, 250kg
  • Eighth Place – Scott Fraser, No Lift

Event Two: Tire Flip

The Tire Flip asked competitors to turn over a 350kg tire nine times within a 75-second time limit.

  • First Place – Andrew Flynn, 32.52s
  • Second Place – Chris Beetham, 33.79s
  • Third Place – Paul Smith, 35.84s
  • Fourth Place – Jacob Brooke, 40.60s
  • Fifth Place – Scott Fraser, 41.16s
  • Sixth Place – William Jones, 41.88s
  • Seventh Place – Dean Mason, 44.09s
  • Eighth Place – Jamie Nelson, 45.92s

Event Three: Incline Log Press

The Incline Log Press loaded up a 150kg implement where athletes were asked to perform as many reps as possible in 75 seconds.

  • First Place – Chris Beetham, 10 reps
  • Second Place – Dean Mason, 9 reps
  • Third Place – Paul Smith, 7 reps
  • Fourth Place – Andrew Flynn, 5 reps
  • Fifth Place – Jacob Brooke, 5 reps
  • Sixth Place – Jamie Nelson, 4 reps
  • Seventh Place – Scott Fraser, No Lift
  • Eighth Place – William Jones, No Lift

Event Four: Deadlift Ladder

The Deadlift Ladder began with a 280kg and went up to 380kg. This was another timed event where athletes were asked to lift all six weights as fast as possible.

  • First Place – Andrew Flynn, 6 in 69.28s
  • Second Place – Dean Mason, 4 in 58.46s
  • Third Place – Paul Smith, 3 in 14.88s
  • Fourth Place – Chris Beetham, 3 in 28.15s
  • Fifth Place – William Jones, 3 in 33.09s
  • Sixth Place – Scott Fraser, 3 in 36.75s
  • Seventh Place – Jacob Brooke, 3 in 38.37s
  • Eighth Place – Jamie Nelson, 2 in 26.89s

Event Five: Loading Race

The Loading Race was the fifth and final event of the competition. There were five kegs ranging in weight from 90kg to 130kg that had to be loaded onto their platforms.

  • First Place – Andrew Flynn, 5 in 53.66s
  • Second Place – Chris Beetham, 5 in 59.87s
  • Third Place – Paul Smith, 4 in 45.39s
  • Fourth Place – Dean Mason, 4 in 51.93s
  • Fifth Place – William Jones, 4 in 56.90s
  • Sixth Place – Jamie Nelson, 4 in 59.47s
  • Seventh Place – Jacob Brooke, 4 in 64.43s
  • Eighth Place – Scott Fraser, 3 in 35.00s
