2026 America’s Strongest Man & Woman Results: Martel Johnson, Inez Carrasquillo Claim Titles
The 2026 America’s Strongest Man & Woman competition brought some of the top strength athletes in the country to Las Vegas, Nevada, on Aug. 25-26 for a six-event battle.
Twelve athletes competed on the men’s side, while seven women entered the women’s division. After two days of competition, Martel Johnson captured the 2026 America’s Strongest Man title, edging Evan Singleton and Roy Orrantia in a close battle. Inez Carrasquillo won the 2026 America’s Strongest Woman title after a dominant performance that included five event victories.
Johnson finished with 60 points, four ahead of Singleton, and picked up crucial victories in the Hummer Tire Deadlift and Atlas Stones. Carrasquillo accumulated 37 points, two ahead of Morgan Irons, while winning the Max Log Lift, Shield Carry, Carry & Press, Sandbag Toss, and Atlas Stones.

Event One: Max Log Lift
The competition opened with the Max Log Lift, giving each athlete multiple attempts to establish the heaviest successful press.
Evan Singleton started strong on the men’s side with a 420-pound lift to take the event victory. Roy Orrantia and Tim Buck tied for second at 410 pounds.
Carrasquillo immediately made her presence felt in the women’s competition. She pressed 324 pounds to win the event and set a new world record.

Event Two: Hummer Tire Deadlift
Next came the Hummer Tire Deadlift, where athletes worked through progressively heavier weights in pursuit of six total repetitions.
Johnson secured his first event victory of the weekend, completing all six reps in 30.02 seconds. Joshua Ficklin was just 1.28 seconds behind, while Orrantia was the only other man to finish all six reps.
Morgan Irons took the women’s victory after completing six reps in 58.20 seconds.

Event Three: Shield Carry
The Shield Carry challenged athletes to carry a heavy implement for maximum distance.
Orrantia produced the best result among the men, covering 50.9 meters. Jonathan Kilen finished second at 46.81 meters, followed by Beau Bathery at 41.71 meters.
Carrasquillo delivered one of the most dominant performances of the contest on the women’s side. Her 47.85-meter carry more than doubled the distance of runner-up Morgan Irons.

Event Four: Carry & Press
The fourth event combined multiple disciplines. Athletes had to move a heavy frame, complete two different overhead presses, and then return with the frame to finish the course.
Singleton was the fastest man through the entire course, winning in 22.44 seconds. Beau Bathery took second in 26.53 seconds, while Johnson remained near the top of the leaderboard with a third-place finish.
Carrasquillo earned another victory on the women’s side, completing the course in 21.09 seconds.

Event Five: Sandbag Toss
The Sandbag Toss served as the penultimate event, with competitors attempting to throw five progressively heavier bags over a raised bar as quickly as possible.
Singleton picked up his second consecutive event victory by clearing all five bags in 13.64 seconds. Tim Buck finished second, followed by Trotter Barringer.
Carrasquillo continued her dominant run, clearing all five bags in 17.32 seconds to collect another event win.

Event Six: Atlas Stones
Everything came down to the Atlas Stones. The men faced a six-stone series ranging from 330 to 410 pounds, while the women tackled six stones ranging from 249 to 300 pounds.
Johnson left no doubt about the men’s title. He loaded all six stones in 27.86 seconds to win the event and secure the 2026 America’s Strongest Man championship. Buck finished second in the event, while Bathery was the only other man to complete all six stones.
Carrasquillo finished her dominant weekend in similar fashion, loading all six stones in 46.59 seconds. The victory gave her five wins across the six events.

Johnson and Carrasquillo Crowned America’s Strongest
Johnson’s consistency ultimately separated him from a tightly packed men’s field. He won two events and finished inside the top four in five of six disciplines, giving him the points needed to hold off Singleton by four points for the championship.
Carrasquillo put together an even more commanding performance. After winning five of six events, including a 324-pound world record in the Max Log Lift, she finished the weekend with 37 points to defeat Irons and claim the 2026 America’s Strongest Woman title.
