All Vegan Bodybuilding Show Set For Costa Mesa

Next month, a plant-based conference will feature a two-day vegan bodybuilding show.

The gathering is called Your Plant-Based Guide Conference, and it will be hosted over May 19 and 20. Among the competitors will be two-time vegan bodybuilding champion, Robert Cheeke, professional vegan trainer and athlete, Vanessa Espinoza, four-time vegan bodybuilding champion, Will Tucker, and vegan fitness professional Ella Mager.

The competitors will also feature as exhibitionists and participate in a fitness panel. Other vegan celebrities in attendance will include Instagram celebrity and finalist in PETA’s Sexiest Vegan Next Door contest, Dr. Angie Sadeghi and Texas-based celebrity trainer Thomas Tadlock.

Plant Based News reports that an event spokesperson announced these athletes will be sharing their best tips to building ideal physiques on a vegan diet.

“In the paid portion of Your Plant-Based Guide Conference, fitness professionals and vegan bodybuilders will be sharing their secrets to rapid and long-term weight loss, how to build muscle with plants, how to ensure adequate consumption of protein on a vegan diet, and more. Robert Cheeke, Vanessa Espinoza, Ella Magers, and Thomas Tadlock will be selling and autographing their books in the Author’s Area – an area of the conference that is free and open to the public.”

Gina Bonanno-Lemos sits as organizer of this conference and founder of 360 Health Connection, a vegan nutritional information company said her goal is to dispel the myth of the weak and thin vegan.

“In doing so she hopes to attract more men to a plant-based diet, in an effort to address lifestyle diseases and health issues such as cardiovascular disease, erectile dysfunction, diabetes, and more.”

It’s always great to see members of the fitness community gathering to support a cause they believe in. But a cynical person might observe that the myth of a weak and thin vegan might be better dispelled through competition with non-vegans.
