A Closer Look at the Arnold Classic Amateur Bikini Winner

Anna Bril is a standout NPC Bikini athlete from the United States who has built a reputation not only for her stage achievements but also for her sustainable, balanced approach to fitness. A proud mother of two, Anna has successfully combined family life with elite-level competition, proving that dedication and smart training can coexist with real-world responsibilities.

Her accomplishments include winning the prestigious Arnold Classic Amateur Bikini Overall title, a testament to her discipline, hard work, and stage presence. Beyond competition, Anna is the creator of the BRIL Method, a fitness philosophy focused on achieving a strong, aesthetic physique without resorting to extreme diets or grueling routines. Through this approach, she promotes longevity, consistency, and sustainable results—showing that peak performance can be achieved while maintaining balance in life.

In this post, our team at Generation Iron provide an exclusive interview with Anna Bril and break down her career, bio and stats in.

Who is Anna Bril?

Extreme is frequently confused with effective in today’s fitness culture. The most noticeable changes are typically the most restrictive: intense dieting, rigorous exercise, brief periods of cutting, and regimens that look great online but are nearly impossible to stick to in real life. The outcome is a cycle that is all too familiar to many. They exert a lot of effort, experience fleeting success, lose control, and have to start over.

Anna Bril has a different point of view. She is a competitive NPC Bikini athlete in the United States who has built her reputation through hard work, consistency, and success in national and international NPC competitions. She won 1st place in Bikini Masters 35+ (her height class) at the Arnold Classic Amateur 2025 and became the Overall Champion in the Masters 35+ division. She also won 1st place in Bikini Masters 35+ (her height class) at NPC Masters USA 2025. She has also competed in other major NPC competitions, including the 2024 Amateur Olympia. Her growing recognition in the fitness world reflects not only her competitive achievements but also the clear, structured system she developed through that experience. Anna Bril has shared that she plans to release a book titled The Bril Method: A Dream Body Without Extremes, built around one central idea: achieving a strong, healthy body should not be treated as a short-term goal, but as a system people can realistically use and maintain over time. She is also planning to compete in two major national shows in July 2026, including one of the most competitive NPC events in Pittsburgh.

Dylan Wolfinger: Anna, many people still associate visible results with extreme methods. What is the main goal behind your approach?

Anna Bril: My goal is to change that mindset. Too many people still believe that the harder, stricter, and more restrictive a fitness plan is, the more effective it must be. In reality, that way of thinking often produces the opposite result: burnout, inconsistency, physical and emotional fatigue, and a constant need to start over. Extreme methods may produce rapid visual changes, but they rarely yield results that truly last. I want people to understand that a strong, aesthetic, healthy body should not be built under pressure or through extremes. It should be built through structure, consistency, and a system that sustains long-term progress.

Dylan Wolfinger: So, for you, fitness is not about temporary transformation?

Anna Bril: Exactly. That is one of the most important ideas behind my method. A temporary transformation and a sustainable physique are not the same thing. In competitive fitness, people often see stage conditioning and assume that this is the ideal standard for everyday life. But the stage shape is temporary. It is created for a specific date under highly controlled conditions and is not meant to be maintained as part of a normal lifestyle.

Dylan Wolfinger: And what, in your view, is the difference between stage shape and real-life shape?

Anna Bril: Real-life shape is something sustainable. It is a state in which muscle tone, health, structure, and daily function coexist over time. That difference is central to The Bril Method. I do not believe people should live in a constant cycle of restriction to maintain a visual effect meant only for competition.

Dylan Wolfinger: What is the method itself built on?

Anna Bril: It is built on four core elements: nutrition, strength training, recovery, and lasting habits. These are the foundations that make results stable and sustainable over time. The point is not just to get in shape once or achieve a short-term visual change. The point is to learn how to manage and maintain your body with realistic, measurable inputs that continue to work in the long term and can be applied consistently in everyday life.

Dylan Wolfinger: A lot of fitness programs fail when they meet real life — work, travel, family, restaurants, and stress. Did you build your method with that reality in mind?

Anna Bril: Absolutely. Otherwise, it would not be useful. Real life is never perfect. People have responsibilities, changing schedules, social events, and limitations. A method only has real value when it can function inside those conditions. My goal was to create a system that works in the real world, not only in an ideal environment.

Dylan Wolfinger: Does that also mean the method can be adapted to different personal circumstances?

Anna Bril: Yes. It is not meant to be a rigid template. It has to be flexible enough to fit different lifestyles, personal routines, and physical needs. Even if someone has dietary limitations, health-related restrictions, or a more demanding daily schedule, they should still be able to apply the framework practically. Progress doesn’t require perfect conditions or an ideal environment. It requires a structure that is stable, realistic, and adaptable enough to keep working even when real life becomes more complicated. That is what makes the method sustainable rather than temporary.

Dylan Wolfinger: Your credibility also comes from competitive experience. How much of this method comes from what you personally lived through?

Anna Bril: A great deal of it. This method is rooted in real competitive experience, preparation, discipline, and understanding how the body responds to training, nutrition, and recovery. It is also informed by continued study, but it is not just theory. It comes from practical application and from seeing what actually works over time.

Dylan Wolfinger: What do you want readers to take away most strongly from your upcoming book?

Anna Bril: I want them to understand that the body should be managed through a system, not through extremes. Too often, people chase fast results through highly restrictive methods, which are physically draining and impossible to maintain for long. The real question is not whether you can get a quick result for a photo, a competition, or a short challenge. The real question is whether that result can last without exhaustion, relapse, or constant pressure. A body that only looks good in harsh conditions is not a sustainable achievement. My method is intended to provide a more realistic answer: a planned approach that helps people build results they can maintain in everyday life, with consistency, balance, and long-term control.

Dylan Wolfinger: So would it be fair to say that this method reflects your broader professional mission?

Anna Bril: Yes, completely. My mission is not only to compete, but also to translate what I have learned into something useful for others. The Bril Method is about helping people build a lean, healthy, structured body that fits into everyday life and stays there as a long-term standard.
