Anton Holic, Czech Bodybuilding Legend, Passes Away at Age 69

Czech bodybuilder Anton Holic has passed away.

The bodybuilding world has lost another competitor from the Golden Era. It appears that Czech bodybuilding legend Anton Holic has passed away. Yet again another bodybuilding legend has succumbed to the sickness sweeping across the globe.

Anton was a very successful amateur competitor back in his younger years. With a well defined physique and classic silhouette, Anton Holic was often the man to beat at any competition he joined.

Anton Holic was a fixture on the IFBB European and World Championship circuits. He picked up some impressive wins over the course of his career winning the European championships in 1980, 1981, and 1983.

Anton went on to place third at the IFBB World Amateur Championships in 1979 and 1981. He would go on to place fourth in 1982. While he didn’t win the show, he proved that he was truly world class.

His physique was no doubt impressive and one of the best during the Golden Era. Below is Anton Holic’s competition history.
