Monster arms.
As most bodybuilders know size and strength aren’t always a match made in heaven. There are plenty of big guys out there that may look the part, but have strength levels that could rival a nine year old girl. Unless you’re a powerbuilder, a powerlifting and bodybuilder hybrid, the likelihood of looking like a shredded beast as well as being as strong as a bull is pretty slim.
But when we think about people in the strength field, the educated usually don’t equate muscle mass to power. The truth of the matter is that many strongmen and powerlifters aren’t going to be winning an Olympia competition anytime soon.
But there are times that size does matter in relation to strength. Like bodybuilding, genetics can play a major role in performance where strength is concerned. Jeff Dabe can attest to that. The 52 year old heavy equipment operator and arm wrestler has used his genetic “defect” as a strength. His forearms measure 19 inches around and the shear size has translated to some immense strength. Find out more about this Mr. Dabe in the video above.
