Arnold Classic 2017: Hafthor ‘The Mountain’ Lifting Like A Savage Beast

Hafthor ‘The Mountain’ Bjornsson is training like an absolute monster.

When most people talk about the Arnold Sports Festival they fail to realize that the event isn’t simply about bodybuilding. The event encompasses athletic competitions from many different sporting disciplines. From powerlifting to arm wrestling to kickboxing, you name it, the Arnold Sports Festival has it all. This year the event will feature a strongman competition with the greatest strongmen competitors in the business including the World’s Strongest Man Brian Shaw. But he isn’t the only competitor you should expect to see at the event. Hafthor Bjornsson, affectionately called ‘The Mountain’ by many, will also be competing at the world renowned event.

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Hafthor portray ‘The Mountain’ on Game of Thrones and that can only mean one thing; he’s been in the gym training his ass off. While many of the events feature great talent, the Arnold Classic Strongman competition features the best of the best in the sport. Brian Shaw has raised the bar as the strongest man on the planet and all other competitors are chasing after the title. ‘The Mountain’ is within striking distance of earning the title of the strongest and what better place to showcase his improvement than at the Arnold Sports Festival.

While he may not have been plastered on the television screen last year, Hafthor has been indeed training like an animal hoping to claim the top spot in his chosen sport. Now that the Arnold Sports Festival is here, all the preparation is wrapping up and for Hafthor ‘The Mountain’, what a prep it was.

Oh wait, but there’s more.
