Edward Norton Recounts How Arnold Schwarzenegger Trashed His Old Workout Routine

Arnold Schwarzenegger joined Jimmy Kimmel on a virtual call to discuss current events.

As you may know, Schwarzenegger was once the governor of California, so he is not new to the discussion of politics and the state of the economy.

Schwarzenegger was not alone during this call. He was accompanied by his mini horse and donkey (Whiskey and Lulu). He was feeding them during the interview.

During the call, actor/filmmaker, Edward Norton joined in the conversation. He told the story of when he first met Arnold. Norton explained that he met Schwarzenegger in the late 90s at a bar at a wedding. This was when Norton was training for American History X.

Norton asked the 7x Mr. Olympia for some training advice of which he broke down his routine that he did at least once a day. Schwarzenegger did not seem to be impressed and made it clear that he could be training harder.

Generation Iron has an exclusive interview with Ethana Suplee, as he talks about Edward Norton’s physique for American History X and the experience of working with him on set. Suplee reflects on the transformation of Norton.

During the interview with Kimmel, Norton talked about the Frontline Responders Fund, that is a joint venture between him and Schwarzenegger. The goal is to supply protective equipment for the frontline medical personnel. So far, the raised over $7 million dollars.

“Over 20,000 people have kicked in almost 7.5 million bucks. We’ve moved almost 8.5 million units of protective gear for various people who are buying them.” Norton explained.

He adds that the goal is to reach 10 million. They have made progress and are continuing to support the essential workers during this time.
