Big Boy Does Insane Clap Pull Ups Despite Massive Size

Don’t say big men aren’t athletic.

In the world of strength sports, particularly bodybuilding and powerlifting, lifting iron is usually the sole focus. Whether it’s to sculpt the perfect physique or to build high level strength, lifting weights has always been the primary tool.

That said calisthenics certainly has its place. Many bodybuilders and powerlifters choose to focus on weight lifting simply because it takes less reps to get the kind of dramatic results they’re looking for.

Another reason many bodybuilders and powerlifters, particularly those of considerable size, choose to avoid calisthenics is because it’s too difficult for their body to handle. Take for example pull ups. A bodybuilder or powerlifter at the higher levels are usually too massively muscles to be able to perform pull ups with straining their shoulder joints or muscles.

But there are still quite a few heavyweight bodybuilders and powerlifters who take on the challenge of adding pull ups to their game in spite of their massive size.

Enter Big Boy.

One of the most massive strength athletes around, Big Boy is, as his name suggests, a fairly large man. While that feature would usually disqualify him as a man who thrives on pull ups, his recent video on Instagram suggest that not only can his he thrive, he can perform the exercise expertly.
