Former champion and Brazilian bodybuilder Eustacio Batista Dias was shot and killed by two men during a training session in a gym in Botuctu, Sao Paulo on Wednesday. Sao Paulo news Metropoles reported that Batista shared his location on social media shortly before his training session began.

The CCTV cameras of the building were able to catch the crime on tape where you can see Batista attacked and shot at close-range before falling to the ground. Another man, wearing a blue short in the video, was hit by a stray bullet but is not in critical condition.

It is unknown why the men targeted Batista. Police rushed to the scene of the crime but were unable to catch the suspects as they fled the scene quickly. An investigation is currently ongoing.

Eustacio Batista regularly shared physique updates and where he was training. It is assumed that the gunmen used this information to find where he was going to be before attacking. There are more details that will be released as the investigation continues.
