The passing of a bodybuilding veteran.

Today, the great bodybuilding legend Chuck Collras has passed away. According to Chuck’s son Todd, the 86 year old veteran of lifting passed away peacefully last Saturday December 16.

Chuck had the privilege of competing in the “Golden Age” of bodybuilding, with his heyday spanning through the 1960’s. Chuck was 1957 Mr Muscle Beach, and in 1970 he won first in the Mr America short class.

In 2016 Chuck was inducted into the Muscle Beach Hall of Fame –a well-deserved and long overdue honor. At the ceremony, Chuck’s son spoke for him, mentioning that he was dealing with “issues.” But Chuck seemed lucid, waving to the crowd at moments of applause. He even kissed the girl holding a poster of his younger self.
