Bodybuilding Personality Mac Trucc Undergoes Hernia Surgery

Mac Trucc has undergone surgery.

Bodybuilding exacts a heavy toll on the human body. While it can be healthy and build some quality strength, there can be a point of diminishing returns. When you lift heavy, eventually your body is going to be put under such pressure that complications aren’t out of the question. It seems that bodybuilding personality Mac Trucc is learning the consequences of living a bodybuilding lifestyle first hand.

Once a prominent member of 5% Nutrition and good friend to Rich Piana, Mac Trucc has gone on to make a name for himself in the bodybuilding and fitness industry. Continuing his training and always looking to improve like any other dedicated bodybuilder, Mac Trucc eventually suffered a hernia that would come back to haunt him.

“I had three of hernia surgeries, two in the groin area and one behind,” said Mac Trucc. “I was going back and forth to the doctor for 6 months and they couldn’t figure out what the problem was.”

Apparently Mac Trucc was suffering from the hernia for some time before it eventually caught up to him. The bodybuilder recalled when things got really bad before they eventually got better.

“It happened last November on [the] Ferrigno stage when I collapsed in the back Pump Up Room. They did laparoscopic surgery. Mom doctor [who] is a surgeon knows my job pertains heavy lifting and enhancements, so they chose that type of surgery over traditional open surgery to get me back in the gym 3-4 weeks.”

Bodybuilding can truly be a dangerous endeavor. Hopefully Mac Trucc can make a full recovery and bounce back stronger than ever from the setback.
