Bostin Loyd Looking Shredded But Is He Sending The Wrong Message?

Strength Wars Movie

Honest to a fault.

Bostin Loyd is a monster – no doubt about it. At 6’1 and with solid mass and definition, he’s sure to turn heads at any gathering. But with being as famous for his gear cycling as his physique, is he being honest to a fault?

In a recent YouTube video Bostin Loyd put up a 6 minute upper body workout. Whether you agree with the music in the background or not, we think it safe to say the most jaw dropping moments came after the workout. Bostin Loyd retreats to his “Team 3CC” van where he proceeds to shoot himself with gear in the parking lot. Probably the most surprising reveal is that he reuses his insulin needles for months, and months, and months until they bend. That’s right, until they bend. He claims it’s saved him $5000 over his bodybuilding career. Does he recommend it? “Eh, I’ve never had a problem with it…”

Now for .30 cents a needle we’d like to think most people will use their heads and be safe rather than sorry. But as a role model and public personality, does Bostin Loyd have a responsibility to keep his bad habits to himself?

A bigger question is the steroid cycle push. With people like Rich Piana revealing their steroid cycles and indirectly inviting people to come along, will this screw up the builders of tomorrow? With Bostin Loyd already fielding questions from viewers about being impotent, sexual disfunction, and hair loss due to gear, are these public personalities “just doing them” or being irresponsible? Unfortunately, not everyone can afford to have a good cycling coach as Bostin Loyd suggest in the video. We’re sure most people’s knowledge on the stuff begin and end with google.

We get it – these guys put things out there, and you’re free to try it at your own risk. And from a legal standpoint that’s true, but socially – is there a point where transparency can be harmful? Watch the full video below and tell us what you think.

Helpful or harmful? What did you guys think of the video, do you want to see more things like this or is it too much?
