Really?
Much anticipated main event re-match between Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold is officially off the UFC 199 card. Talk MMA first tweeted out the rumor and MMA fighting has now confirmed that Chris Weidman is off the card due to injury. The promotion is looking for replacement but we have a couple of ideas. First option would be Jacare Souza. After finishing Vitor Belfort via first round destruction on last week’s 198 card, Souza should still be fresh enough for a two week turnaround. Just coming off of a training camp for a dynamic striker, if he’s not held up by a mandatory, this is the fight to make. Second option is Michael Bisping. With his personality “The Count” can sell any card; coupled with the fact he’s never had a title shot, his intensity, much improved boxing, and accent would slide into this fight quite nicely.
Training camps separate the boys from the men. This sport isn’t for everyone. 2 weeks notice? I’m down!!! @ufc #realfighter #fightersfighter

With Yoel Romero out on mandatory suspension these seem to be the main options. But on two weeks notice, anything can happen…where you at Tim Kennedy?
