Classic Physique division may not take over Men’s Open Bodybuilding… but it just might change the expectation for the mass monsters in the spotlight.

This is a conversation that has been happening for the past two years and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. There’s a good reason for that – it’s because the tides are shifting within the industry for both the leagues, the athletes, and the fans. This is inevitable. It happens in every sport – but the biggest question is HOW much will it change.

Many are rallying behind the idea that Classic Physique will one day become the #1 division. The one that has the biggest prize at Mr. Olympia and takes the prime time Saturday night slot. But if we are being realistic that probably won’t happen (at least not for a very, very long time). But what might happen is a change in what Men’s Open physiques look like.

Stanimal De Longeaux talks with Vlad Yudin in this exclusive interview about how Classic Physique competitors might influence what Men’s Open eventually looks like. They may even perhaps use Classic Physique as a training ground for a few years… and then jump into Men’s Open with a new focus on keeping a tight V-taper but putting on more size.

Things are definitely changing – but maybe just not in the cataclysmic way everyone is expecting. Check out the full interview above!
