After Colonoscopy, Mike O’Hearn Films Emotional Video For Fans

Mike O’Hearn gets emotional after undergoing colonoscopy procedure and pleads with audiences to take their health seriously.

The image of bodybuilding, of athletes pumping up their muscle to the utmost, isn’t necessarily the most healthy image. For a natural bodybuilder however, health is absolutely paramount. It’s why they avoid taking massive amounts of gear. Mike O’Hearn, an advocate for natural bodybuilding, just recently checked up on his health. After the health check, Mike O’Hearn gets emotional after undergoing colonoscopy procedures and filmed an emotional message so others can see the importance of being checked out.

As he gets up in age, natural bodybuilder Mike O’Hearn is being careful about taking care of his wellbeing. Having faced tragedy in his family due to colon related issues, O’Hearn is pretty serious about taking care of himself in this regard for his age, life, and image.

Mike O'Hearn

The Generation Iron 4 star delved into his past after completing his colonoscopy.

“I lost my dad because of ego. He didn’t get checked, he didn’t go in and stuff. It’s your health man. There’s no ego in it.”

Mike O’Hearn was very adamant about getting across to the audience to take care of their health.

“Be preventative. Do not wait until this stuff hits you, do not wait until you’re sick. Stop effing around and take your life serious,” said O’Hearn.

“I’m just a couple of years away from when it hit my dad, but he didn’t check. So five years later, when he did check, it was too late, and we got him for another 8 years and then we lost him, so he never got to see (my son) Titan. My mom never got to see my son.

“So going through little processes like this, and making sure you’re okay and making sure your body is good is such a big, important thing. Some guys take it so lightly. So we’ll keep checking. We’re healthy, we’re good.”

Mike O'Hearn

Mike O’Hearn indeed had a clear bill of health after his colonoscopy which is great to hear. More people should follow his example and be sure to take care of their health in everyway possible. It can be easy to make excuses and gloss over just what needs to be done in order to take the best care of yourself, but following O’Hearn’s example is something we should all do. While we may take our health for granted, we need to stay up to date on how healthy we are in training and to perform as best we can as athletes. O’Hearn is an example of how to do that and a true professional in helping others do so as well.
