“To all the victims of sexual assault, I hope my story is a reminder that no matter how afraid you might be, speak up you have a voice and keep on fighting for justice.”

Conor McGregor To Appeal Decision
Because this was a civil case and not criminal, Hand was entitled to compensation in damages and McGregor will not face criminal sanctions.
Hand testified about the night in question. On Dec. 9, 2018, Hand claims that McGregor picked her and a friend up following a holiday party and they went to the Beacon Hotel. The former UFC champion then brought Hand in another room alone and made passes at her, when began to feel uncomfortable.
McGregor took to social media on Friday afternoon sharing that he plans to appeal the decision by the jury.
“I will be appealing today’s decision. The judge’s instruction and the modest award given was for assault, not for aggravated or exemplary damages. I am disappointed that the jury did not hear all the evidence that the DPP reviewed. I am with my family now, focused on my future. Thank you to all my support worldwide.”
