While it may have appeared like a random act, it was in fact a surgical strike by the UFC star. Conor McGregor mentions that the jersey he’s sporting is that of C.J. Watson, a former member of the Golden State Warriors. Watson was linked to the Floyd Mayweather domestic abuse case between the boxer and his former partner Josie Harris. The quote below describes the incidnet between Harris and Mayweather in a bit more detail.

Harris says she awoke with Mayweather screaming and grabbing her hair. She says he’d read affectionate text messages between her and NBA basketball player C.J. Watson, described in her book draft as her “summer love.”

Conor McGregor clearly has some tricks up his sleeve. The most likely case is that he’s saving some of his most helacious barbs for fight week of the epic showdown on August 26.

What do you make of Conor McGregor referencing Floyd Mayweather’s domestic abuse case?
