Conor McGregor’s Sister Erin McGregor Shares Bodybuilding Photos

Athleticism runs in the McGregor clan.

When the name ‘McGregor’ is mentioned up most people think of UFC Lightweight champion Conor McGregor. But his sister Erin is making waves of her own. She has collected a significant following (certainly not without her brother’s help) and has rode her natural charisma and athleticism to Dancing With The Stars. Recently she also revealed that before her second child she was a successful bodybuilder, and released pictures of her competition physique.

Erin clearly possessed good genetics for bodybuilding, which are evident in her brother as well. Still, in Dublin, the level of knowledge and resources is far below what most bodybuilders enjoy in America. She said that when she decided to turn her love of working out into a career, she had little idea of what she was actually in for.

Erin worked as a hairdresser while training full time and told told The Irish Mirror:

“I was totally naive going into the bodybuilding scene. There is a huge amount of sacrifice. It was only when I began to compete that I turned to my mam one day and said: ‘Now I truly understand how hard Conor works.’”

And for both of them, the hard work paid off. Erin won several regional events, which culminated in 2013 when she took home the title of Miss Bikini at the National Amateur Bodybuilders’ Association Mr Ireland contest.

After the birth of her second child Harry in 2016, Erin quit bodybuilding. Of course this was also during Conor’s heyday in the UFC so she was starting to receive social media attention about her body after the birth. She claimed it was too much to handle.

Another factor is certainly that she doesn’t exactly to build a career anymore. Her brother has more than enough to support the family and open opportunities. Erin is currently competing on dancing with the Stars and Doing very well. No doubt her fitness training gave her a solid foundation for the intense but brief performances she has been exhibiting on air.
