Dana White Wants Israel Adesanya to Fight Paulo Costa Over Jon Jones Next

What’s next for new UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya?

When it comes to exciting fighters in the UFC there’s no question that newly minted Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is high on the list. With his absolute decimation of former champ Robert Whittaker at UFC 243, Israel Adesanya showed that he’s a special striker with the ability to make even high level mixed martial artists look like amateurs.

With his unique blend of striking, charisma, and proven track record, Israel Adesanya is most certainly the UFC’s next big star. While Conor McGregor is quickly beginning to lose some of his shine, Israel Adesanya seems to be on track to take over the sport and inherit the mantle of “Face of the UFC.”

Israel Adesanya dominated Robert Whittaker

That said, another UFC star seems to have Israel Adesanya on their radar. That star is none other than UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

A budding rivalry seems to have formed between the two talented champions, Israel Adesanya trashing Jones after the Light Heavyweight champion offered his own disparaging remarks. But while that’s a fight the fans seem to be clamoring for, UFC President Dana White seems to want to hold off on that fight for the time being. In an interview with TMZ Sports, Dana White explains why he wants to hold off on the Jon Jones fight.
