The rematch between old rivals Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor is set for January.

Many believed the move was a bit foolhardy, especially considering the global health crisis. But no matter what you thought about the decision in the beginning, if you’re a fight fan you’re glad Dana White and the UFC brass went through with their plans.
Since May the UFC has been putting on consistent fights week after week. They’ve been putting on some pretty competitive shows for the fans for the past few months and it appears January will be no exception.
The UFC has finally booked the rematch between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor. The bout is set to take place on January 23.

While the fight had been rumored before, the UFC has finally confirmed the bout between the old rivals. After Conor McGregor had made the suggestion to Dustin Poirier to put on a charity boxing match, speculation of a rematch grew. Knowing a good thing when they see it, the UFC move forward and decided to get the two to contend a high profile lightweight bout.
With Khabib Nurmagomedov retiring from competition the UFC lightweight division is wide open. The winner of Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor will most likely see themselves in a title bout next.
