Eddie Hall responds to Hafthor Bjornsson.

The boxing match between Hafthor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall is fast approaching. Both men have been prepping for war throughout 2020 and both have made great improvements. But it appears that Bjornsson isn’t all that impressed with Hall’s preparation for battle.

Before Hafthor Bjornsson’s recent exhibition match the 2018 World’s Strongest Man had some choice words for Eddie Hall.

After the comments made by Bjornsson, Eddie Hall detailed exactly how he’s been preparing for their showdown. The strongman competitor says he’s not just training to fight Hafthor Bjornsson, but to get in the ring with anyone, including world champion Tyson Fury.

“Basically for weeks and weeks and weeks, we’ve been drilling. Just repeat, repeat, repeat, doing defensive drills, evade, footwork, spinning off, and this is basically my life,” Hall said.

“Nine months now until the fight with numb nuts, and I’ll tell you what, honestly this is going to be the best nine months of my life. I’m feeling fit, energized, and inspired. I really have that motivation to be the best I can be.

“Forget Thor, I’m training to fight Tyson Fury. I’m not going to, I don’t want to, but that’s who I’m training to fight, and that’s what excites me, being the best I can be.”

“Sparring-wise, we’ve been doing drills for six months, seven months, and we’er just getting to the point where we’re mentioning sparring,” Hall added.

“I’m learning how to box. It’s pointless getting in the ring unless I know how to box. I’m under the jurisdiction of my coach Lyndon. I’m going to listen to every word he says because if I don’t what’s the point in having him?

“So sparring will start when Lyndon says.”
