This video comes after a year of receiving updates on Eddie Hall’s social media showcasing the incredible progress of his son in the world of weightlifting and strongman.

Eddie Hall’s Strongman Accomplishments
Throughout his career, Eddie Hall set several records, including one of his most famous feats: being the first man to deadlift 500 kg (1,102 lbs) in 2016. This lift, performed at the World Deadlift Championships, stood as a milestone in the sport for several years and is widely regarded as one of the most impressive strength accomplishments in history.
Before his World’s Strongest Man win, Hall consistently placed in high-ranking positions at other prestigious strongman events. He won the UK’s Strongest Man title six times (2011–2016) and made a strong presence at the Arnold Strongman Classic and Europe’s Strongest Man competitions. Known for his powerful build and incredible determination, Hall earned the nickname “The Beast.”
Following his retirement from competitive strongman events after his WSM victory, Eddie Hall transitioned into a media personality and fitness ambassador. He has appeared on television shows, runs a successful YouTube channel, and works as a motivational speaker. In addition, he took on new challenges, including participating in a high-profile boxing match against fellow strongman Hafthor Björnsson in 2022. Hall continues to promote strength training and fitness while remaining a popular figure in the strength sports community.
Following In His Footsteps: Maximus Hall’s Early Strongman Journey
It seems that the apple does not fall far from the tree with the continued updates on Maximus Hall’s weightlifting efforts. Starting at such a young age, Maximus is certainly setting himself up for fitness success by building strong habits and techniques as he develops. It doens’t hurt that his father is a champion strongman athlete and one of the most iconic names in the sport.
Eddie Hall has stated in previous updates that his son has been adding “about a kilogram a week” to his deadlift performance. And in this latest update, he is confident that Maximus will reach 140kg in just a few short weeks.
“The Boy deadlifting 115kg as one of his working sets… 140kg coming in a few weeks’ 12yrs old,” Eddie Hall noted in his instagram post.
It should be noted that the sub-Junior category in weightlifting athletes is up to the age of 18. Maximus is only 12 at the moment – giving him plenty of years to continue improving and to become a powerful force in weightlifting and perhaps strongman – should he pursue it.
With Maximus apparently gaining one kg per week and poised to hit 140 kg soon – there’s no telling what enormous feats of strength we will see in the coming years as he grows into an adult athlete.
Only time will tell – and we can’t wait to see what accomplishments await for this passionate young athlete with the likes of Eddie Hall in his corner.
