Emre Kocaman Is Breaking Conventions As A Bodybuilder With Dwarfism

Emre Kocaman is defying the odds and breaking conventions.

People have a very specific view on what they consider the epitome of strength and aesthetics. Many would describe genetic perfection as an individual who is tall, well built, and has a proportionate physique. This notion rings even more true where bodybuilding is concerned.

While many bodybuilders are under six feet tall, it’s rare to see bodybuilders below five feet in stature. Some would have you believe that it’s impossible to have an impressive physique while being below a certain height. But it’s limitations like these that can leave people’s minds enslaved, fixed on a viewpoint that is narrow and simply unrealistic.

If the average bodybuilding fan heard word of a bodybuilder who has dwarfism, there are a great deal of individuals who would dismiss their chances of having an impressive physical form. Like it or not, discrimination is still alive and while a great many of us have found ways to circumvent preconceived notions, there are just as many individuals that are close-minded to the idea that anything can be achieved no matter the circumstance.

Enter Emre Kocaman.

A Turkish bodybuilder and personal trainer, Emre Kocaman has proven himself to be a truly impressive competitor on the bodybuilding scene. While he may have dwarfism, the condition hasn’t taken away from his ability to train hard, diet correctly and build a physique to be proud of. Recent showings have seen Emre Kocaman giving his average height opposition all they can handle.

What do you think of Emre Kocaman defying the odds and breaking convention in competitive bodybuilding?
