The legendary John Brown talks teenage bodybuilders using steroids and if it should be legalized for adults.

THE BREAKDOWN – Is our first ever bodybuilding talk show hosted by Shawn Ray and Tifanny Urrea. Touching upon the most controversial, entertaining, and trending topics in bodybuilding & fitness, our hosts take a deep dive and hold nothing back. These are raw and uncut debates with clashing opinions and, hopefully, a better understanding of the current state of our sport. The Breakdown airs every Wednesday.

The legendary bodybuilder who changed the game when it comes to posing in the sport, John Brown, joins Shawn Ray and Tifanny Urrea on The Breakdown to discuss his bodybuilding past, his family’s fame now found through his three talented football player sons, and also the current state of bodybuilding. More specifically, John Brown weights in on the current state of steroids in bodybuilding, the rise of teenage steroid use, and how it compares to bodybuilding in the past.

It’s no secret that steroids is used by some athletes in every single sport – but how does this affect the young kids that will become the future generation of athletes? Will the use of steroids only increase as more kids become inspired by the incredible feats that are found, normally later, to be achieved through steroids? Join the debate by watching the full episode of The Breakdown above and leave your comments below!

  1. I want to say yes, but my intuitive knowledge say “No”. I’m now 59 and still train. Back in my 20’s when I competed in pwr. lifting, I did very light cycles for very short terms, and got amazing results. After maybe 5 years, I never again did steroids.
