EVERYBODY WANNA ACT LIKE THEY FORGOT ABOUT NATE?

Nate Diaz

“Aye…I’m not surprised.”

It’s funny – Nate Diaz took this fight because he thought it would finally get him the respect that the deserved. Finally get him the big fights and the big pay day he’d been searching for for so long. But in the aftermath did Nate really get what he deserved, did Nate Diaz really win? If you thought Ronda Rousey’s lost was big then you ain’t see this. You didn’t see what happened this past Saturday night at UFC 196 when Nate Diaz stunned the world (well, at least half of Ireland) by submitting world superstar Conor McGregor via rear naked choke in the middle of the second round. Not only did Nate finish the 145lb champion in the round that Conor called to finish him, but he also predicted what was going to happen.

“He better hope…he better hope…he better hope he gets that knock out, otherwise it’s going to be a fucked up night for him.”

https://youtu.be/eTzhVVIjLCE Eat your heart out Conor. But in the aftermath it seems that Conor McGregor has eclipsed him yet again, by “losing with dignity”.

I stormed in and put it all on the line. I took a shot and missed. I will never apologize for taking a shot. Shit happens. I’ll take this loss like a man. I will not shy away from it. I will not change who I am. If another champion goes up 2 weights let me know. If your tired of me talking money, take a nap. I’ll still be here when you wake up with the highest PPV and the gate. Still talking multi 7’s. Thank you to the true support and fuck the hate that came out of the woodwork. I love it all. Its still steak for breakfast. I’ve been here many times in my life in some form or another. I’ll eat it all and come back stronger. Aldo you are a pussy. Dos anjos you are a pussy. When the history books are written, I showed up. You showed up on Twitter. To the fans! Never ever shy away from challenges. Never run from adversity. Face yourself head on. Nate I will see you again.

I don’t know about you but I think this is a crock of Sh*t. Yes, I respect everyone that steps into a cage with another well trained person and is willing to duke it out until somebody falls, and yes Conor is always gracious in victory or defeat, with many accounts of people saying he’s a real class act – but what about Nate??? At the end of the day Conor lossed and Nate won. The supposed mental mastermind got mastermind by a kid from Stockton on ten days notice who use to do Jiu jitsu for burritos! When they asked Nate what his strategy was for winning this fight he confidently said “It’s kill or be killed.”…who does that? How ballsy do you have to be to supposedly take on the Messiah of MMA on ten days notice, 3 days out from the beaches of Cabo, and just go in there like F@#k it? That’s the type of mentality I’m talking about. For those of you who think he got owned during the press conference, you guys are so wrong. Just because he wasn’t responding to all of Conor’s taunts doesn’t mean he was losing. If you ask me he got at Conor also, making him super sensitive with comments about him knocking out midgets and “playing touch butt in the park with that dork with the ponytail.” – that one still gets me. At the end of the day real recognizes real, and there was something about Conor McGregor that was unfamiliar. Calling him a born “rich kid”, Nate knew he hadn’t been forged through the same fire he had been growing up on the mean streets of Stockton, California. There was something in his tone and his swagger that he knew not to be true – that deep down he was just a spoiled child – that past the bravado he would crumble in adversity – and so he did. So where did this mentality come from? How do you essentially have the world on your shoulders and respond with a carefree “ninja style”? I guess he learned it from the school of hardknocks. for those of you who don’t know his history, he doesn’t even like fighting. He and his brothers did it on the streets as a way to survive and he only started jiu jitsu because the guys there would buy him dinner. He said it was to the point where either he could sit home and starve, or go to practice where at least he’d get a burrito from the taco truck that came around after practice. People talk about Conor but in addition to his personal life –  Nate has been “losing with dignity” for a while now. With 10 losses on his career, Nate his brother fighting some of the biggest names and hardest hitting fighters in the lightweight, welterweight, and middleweight divisions. They don’t put out any instagram rants about how they will be back and how they took a chance, and blah blah blah, no excuses – real G’s move in silence. However, what’s most impressed me about the whole thing was how he handled the win! With the world watching what he would say after trouncing the biggest star in MMA, he simply said “Aye…I’m not surprised motherf@ckers!”. Like a true buddhist warrior he simply let it out as he took it in…just another day.

For those of you who like lip service then go for Conor. Read his tweets and his trumped up videos of himself doing random things – he’s not a bad fighter, and is very entertaining. But for those of you who like fights, please do me and MMA a favor and bump the Diaz brothers everywhere you go…it’s Stockton Motherfunkas!!!
