Biography
Early Years
Felipe Franco was born on May 17, 1982 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Felipe’s love for lifting emerged when he was just 17 years old, right before he enrolled into college to study physical education.
While in college, he made sure to learn as much as possible about training and nutrition. His knowledge of bodybuilding grew and his results followed. He soon became one of the most fit and ripped guys at his college. Felipe’s interest for bodybuilding grew and he decided to pursue the full-time as soon as he graduated from school.
Competitive Bodybuilding
After Felipe graduated, he went on to compete. He competed to get a fill of being on the stage and as he did this, his hunger for success and winning increased as he set out to win the famed Pro Card.
After years of hard work and dedication, he finally won his Pro status as well as respect and recognition from other athletes.
Eyes On The Olympia
Felipe now competes in some of the biggest shows around the world. In some of these competitions, he beats all of his opponents and took the champion title. He wiped his competition away at the 2016 Europa Dallas, IFBB Men’s Pysique and 2018 Los Angeles Grand Prix, IFBB Men’s Physique.
Felipe is always ready to grow and is hungry for more success. This mentality stick though all area of his career, including personal training, bodybuilding, and entrepreneurship.
Personal Life
In 2015, Felipe Franco married superstar Brazilian TV personality Juliana Salimeni. While not specifically a fitness competitor, Juliana took great pride in her physique and focus on fitness. The two understood each other’s complex and busy schedules between training, TV appearances, and competitions.
In 2019, Franco and Salimeni divorced. The separation process led to Franco temporarily losing sight of his motivation to quality and win the Men’s Physique Mr. Olympia. It was only through the support of his friends, family, and fans that he has regained his spirit and began a sort of “comeback” to bringing his 100% on the competition stage.
Felipe Franco: The Chosen One
Felipe has a documentary that released with Generation Iron in 2020 titled “Felipe Franco: The Chosen One” tells his story about the rise to the top and the struggles that he encountered on the way there including his separation from Salimeni and his return to competing.
The film debuted as the number one documentary and independent film in Brazil on the iTunes charts.

Nutrition
Felipe love to be ripped, so everyday he eats the same about (or fewer) calories than his body expends. He eats a mix of carbs and fats and also eats carbs that have a low glycemic index like sweet potatoes and brown rice. He eats fruits and vegetables as well.
French fried, refined sugars, and cheeseburgers are always off limits to him.
