Floyd Mayweather Wants To Fight 50 Cent In Exhibition Match In 2021

Floyd Mayweather is more than willing to box 50 cent regardless of weight.

Last week, rapper 50 cent threw barbs at Floyd Mayweather challenging him to a fight. Claiming, “I’d fight Floyd… I don’t think I can make weight though.” Now it seems that Floyd Mayweather is accepting that challenge and willing to fight 50 Cent at some point later this year.

Floyd Mayweather has announced a plan to fight a number of viral celebrities in 2021 including Logan Paul, Jake Paul, and now seemingly 50 Cent. This is all according to a recent Instagram post made by Mayweather.

“This year I will focus on several exhibitions,” Mayweather wrote. He continued via his Instagram post.

“I will have an exhibition in Tokyo, Japan again. Of Course the one with Logan Paul and I; and if Jake Paul can get past his next opponent Ben Askren, I will have an exhibition with him as well. I also heard that 50 cent would fight me but claims I’m too small. If he wants to lace up at the end of the year, we can do an exhibition then. I don’t care about weight class with any of these guys. The Paul brothers will make great money with the events, but with 50 cent It has to be ‘Winner Take All.’”

50 Cent, who was once close with Mayweather, had a falling out with the boxing in recent years. It seems perhaps this rivalry will now make its way into the ring. 50 Cent is no stranger to boxing himself. He began boxing at age 11. By the time he was 14 he was boxing in a neighbor’s gym for the local youth community.

50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson in Queens, N.Y., began boxing at about age 11, and when he was 14, a neighbor opened a boxing gym for local youth.

In December 2020, Mayweather announced a fight against Logan Paul. This announcement was also made via an Instagram post. The fight was to take place on February 20, 2021 but has since been postponed.

In 2017, Floyd Mayweather also made headlines with what was dubbed a “super fight” between himself and Conor McGregor. Mayweather won the fight by TKO. It seems 2021 will bring back these spectacle exhibition matches in the form of Logan Pual, Jake Paul, and 50 Cent.
