Floyd Mayweather Enters The Octagon, Conor McGregor Responds

Is Floyd Mayweather trolling?

Floyd “Money” Mayweather’s social media accounts are basically just used to promote his fights, his strip club, and to occasionally display a picture of him in an exotic travel destination. But he is still worth a follow, cause every now and again comes a day like today. Four days ago, Floyd posted a picture of a $100,000,000 check.

He followed that up late last night with a picture of him knocking out McGregor.

Today Floyd Mayweather proved why he is one of the best promoters in all of sport, posting a video of himself entering and moving around an MMA cage in fight shorts. The comments have been disabled.

McGregor quickly responded over twitter:

It’s highly unlikely Floyd is stupid enough to try his hand at MMA. But it’s highly likely he’s smart enough to realize that he can use the hype around a fake transition to generate attention and build his brand. The match between Mayweather and McGregor, while one-sided did open up a large amount of cross-sport interest, with Dana announcing that the UFC is getting into boxing and open to allowing his fighters to compete in boxing bouts before then. Roy Jones Jr. met with White earlier this week, possibly to discuss a potential fight with Anderson Silva.

McGregor also retweeted a hilarious video of famous impressionist Al Foran doing reactions to the Floyd video in the voices of many combat sports stars…and Donald Trump. It’s a great laugh and worth a listen!
