“I’ll work with her if she’s willing to work with me.”
Floyd Mayweather has been making a lot of headlines lately for his comments about fighting Conor McGregor in a dream match up. He then later insulted UFC and Dana White with some cocky follow up comments.
So it might come as refreshing that Mayweather’s latest statements about UFC seem to be in a more positive light. Specifically, he wants to start training recently fallen UFC fighter Ronda Rousey – or so he told TMZ.
“I want Ronda Rousey to hold her head up high and don’t let (the defeat) discourage her. If you need help as far as with boxing, I’m here to help you. It’s all about timing and inches. Her ground game is unbelievable. She’ll be OK.”
Whether or not this is just another random comment that will go nowhere – or a legit offer that will come to fruition down the line remains to be seen. But at this point Ronda Rousey needs to do SOMETHING to shake things up. Right?
