Frank Grillo shares thoughts on his own fitness and prep for roles during his career.
Actor Frank Grillo has now showed signs of taking it easy at 60 years old. While he continues to train hard in the gym, Grillo has been open and honest about is routine, diet, and more to keep himself in great shape.
Grillo discussed his own methods before the conversation turned to steroid use in Hollywood. Unlike many other actors, Grillo was honest about the topic and shared that many use different substances even though they might not admit it.
“None of those are natural bodies. Those guys don’t walk around looking one way like six months out of the year and then all of a sudden they have 35 pounds of muscle on them. We all know what they’re doing.”
Actors are often tasked with transforming their physiques in order to fit the role they will be playing. While there are times where they will need to put on weight in the form of fat, more often than not it includes adding muscle or getting shredded for the big screen.
“They do it by taking Anavar and Deca and all the things now that are prescribable by doctors. And which is good because it can be monitored by a medical professional.”
Frank Grillo Shares Thoughts on TRT

During a trip to the doctor, Grillo foound out his testosterone level was 260, sparking amazement from the doctor due to his level of fitness. He began using testosterone replacement therapy and has been for six years now.
“There’s nothing wrong with using those drugs, but let’s be honest about it. That’s all. People will say because I take testosterone, ‘you’re a cheater.’ I’m like wait a minute, I’m 60 and I train everyday.”
Since using TRT, Frank Grillo admitted to feeling happier, recovering faster, and getting better sleep at night. At 60 years old, Grillo has found ways to continue to improve himself and does not feel like he is cheating the system.
“I’m an actor,” Grillo said. “I’m not the linebacker for the New York Giants, I’m not a competitive Olympic wrestler, I’m not cheating at anything except aging. You get the role in the superhero move, and you want to look like a superhero, and you take some Anavar, God bless you.”
