Game of Thrones’ Hafthor Bjornsson Shows Unreal Strength in Europe’s Strongest Man Win

Hafthor Bjornsson was truly the perfect person to play ‘The Mountain’ on Game of Thrones.

After winning the 2018 World’s Strongest Man, Hafthor Bjornsson has seen his star rise into the stratosphere. Not only has he become world renowned for his role as Gregor Clegane, better known as ‘The Mountain,’ on HBO’s Game of Thrones, Hafthor Bjornsson has now gone on to prove that he’s just as abnormally gifted as his on screen counter part.


The recent Europe’s Strongest Man featured Hafthor Bjornsson in the finals where he would go on to once again showcase is otherworldly strength. The clip below shows Bjornsson doing 771 Lbs deadlifts for 10 reps, a record for the event.

With the final season of Game of Thrones set to premiere April 14, this massive victory the week before the program’s return will just add to the buzz for both Hafthor Bjornsson and the popular show.
