Featuring world famous natural bodybuilder and former American Gladiator, Mike O’Hearn, the People’s Champ Kai Greene, and King Kamali – Generation Iron: Natty 4 Life explores the inner workings of professional natural bodybuilding in attempt to expose the truth behind the all-natural claim of the sport.
Specifically, the film dives into the Professional Natural Bodybuilding Association, aka the PNBA, a league dedicated to ensuring all competitors are free of performance enhancing drugs. They claim to use the same drug testing that is implemented by the Olympics to ensure a truly clean sport. Any competitors who are found to fail the test are not only disqualified, they are banned for life from competing and added into a “wall of shame.”
Generation Iron: Natty 4 Life will follow pro natural competitors Rob Terry, Philip Ricardo Jr., Adrian Pietrariu, Christopher Oketch, Alondra Chatman, and Tiffany Stosich. Each of these competitors have their heart set on one thing – to become the Natural Olympia champion.
With medicine and technology continuing to change at a rapid pace across sports and entertainment, natural bodybuilding as a whole has been criticized and questioned. Can the league guarantee that these competitors are truly natural?
The film will also explore the wider world of natural bodybuilding vs untested bodybuilding. What are the mindsets of these natural competitors?
