George Farah Reacts To Dorian Yates & Ronnie Coleman’s Criticism Of Brandon Curry

George Farah thinks it is wrong for Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman to take away from Brandon Curry’s Olympia win.

Throughout this year, we’ve been getting reactions to comments made by Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman on Brandon Curry. More specifically, Dorian and Ronnie criticized the quality of Brandon Curry as an Olympia champion – and they made negative comments about modern physiques compared to the past. But what does legendary coach George Farah think of these sentiments? In our latest GI Exclusive interview, George Farah reacts to Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman’s criticism of Brandon Curry’s Olympia winning physique.

George Farah’s entire career as a bodybuilding coach is about analyzing and helping to perfect physiques. While this is focused more on his specific clients – he most certainly needs to keep tabs on other competitors to know what his athletes are up against. Since he’s been doing this for many years – and is also passionate about the sport as a whole – George certainly has a great perspective on the evolution of bodybuilding physiques.

So when we sat down with George Farah for our extended interview – we needed to touch base on the controversial comments made by legendary bodybuilders Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman. They criticized today’s bodybuilders as not being able to hold up against their era. They specifically took aim at Brandon Curry and the quality of his Olympia-winning physique. George didn’t waste any time to make it clear – he completely disagrees with Dorian and Ronnie.

Not only does George believe it’s a waste of time to compare eras – he also thinks that it’s too easy to favor your era vs the ones that come after. George personally thinks that Brandon Curry had a beautiful physique that definitely could stand up to athletes in the 90s. He ends it off by saying that unless you can see them actually standing side by side – these kinds of comments are foolish.

George Farah does admit that Brandon Curry didn’t look perfect at Olympia 2019 – but makes a point to say neither did Ronnie or Dorian every single time they won. Specifically he points out the year Dorian Yates won with an obviously injured bicep. In the end, to focus on one athlete in one Olympia competition undermines what they have accomplished.

You can watch George Farah’s full reaction to Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman’s comments about Brandon Curry in our latest GI Exclusive interview segment above!
