Photoshopping has existed as long as magazines have been in existence. This is nothing new. Bodybuilding magazines always tweak and airbrush their images. That’s not to say they make up fake muscles… but they just make them look better. But as time has passed and technology has grown, so too has the ability to photoshop images into whatever we desire. And more importantly, it’s easier for the average person to photoshop images themselves. With recent scandals such as the Devin Physique/Shredz controversy – things are getting more complicated when it comes to enhancing physiques. Where is the line drawn? At what point do fans feel cheated by made up muscle and added lines and definition?
This week Dallas McCarver joins the GI podcast to talk about issues of “faking” your physique and how it effects the perception on how massive, how shredded, and how sculpted a human being actually can become. McCarver also touches upon the new Classic Physique division verses the mass monsters of today. Listen in above.
