The 2016 EVLS Prague Pro occurred over the weekend and highlighted an interesting factor in bodybuilding today. When it comes to being a bodybuilding champion it’s all about how you make the improvements from show to show. Nothing is set in stone as the last two week has shown us. Three different champions in as many shows, the field of competitors unchanged. This either shows how competitive the open weight division can be or the fact that the judging criteria is truly peculiar.

So if greats like Big Ramy and Dexter Jackson must work hard to secure their placing then the average Joe needs to work even harder to get the gains they seek. To think that bodybuilding champions still look to make more gains it should be an inspiration to those thinking that settling with their physique is just fine. It’s better to push and strive for greatness than to simply be content. It’s time to train hard and continue to strive for perfection just like the pros.
