Goob shares behind the scenes info of the all-out-brawl that happened in NYC’s jewelry district

The latest episode of The Goob Show, hosted by John Dorsey (better known as Goob) covered a wide range of topics that blended internet culture, fitness drama, business ethics, and real-world consequences of virality. The highlight of the episode was the sudden explosion of Goob’s longtime friend and mentor, TraxNYC, whose first fight video became the first truly viral moment of 2026.

Here’s a quick overview of the topics discussed in this week’s episode:

  • TraxNYC goes viral after epic fist fight is caught on camera – Goob shares the insider behind the scenes story
  • How often does Goob get physically threatened?
  • Goob reacts to Kali Muscle’s health scare – and alludes to his X-rated past
  • Goob’s take on Greg Douchette – online hero or villain?
  • Are coaches stealing other people’s transformation photos? And can it be stopped?

TraxNYC Goes Viral After Diamond District Altercation

The most talked-about moment from the episode was Goob’s breakdown of how TraxNYC became a viral sensation overnight. Trax is not just a friend of Goob’s. He’s someone Goob credits heavily for his own success online. Trax was the one who pushed Goob to believe that he could be a personality, not just another guy posting content into the void. Without that encouragement, Goob openly admits he probably wouldn’t be the presence people recognize today.

Trax owns TraxNYC, a well-known jewelry store located in the heart of New York City’s Diamond District. The store has built its reputation on offering high-end diamond and gold jewelry while maintaining a strong online presence. TraxNYC’s mission has always been simple: bring top-quality jewelry directly to customers without the smoke and mirrors that plague the industry.

That reputation is exactly what led to the incident that set the internet on fire.

TraxNYC shares its building and surrounding space with other jewelers. The Diamond District is packed, chaotic, and confusing, especially for customers who aren’t familiar with the area. Shops blur together. Signs look similar. Employees stand outside trying to pull people in. Because of this, customers frequently mistake other jewelers for TraxNYC.

In this case, a customer purchased a piece of jewelry from a different shop, believing it was TraxNYC. The item was sold as 14k gold. After having it tested, the customer discovered it was only 9k gold. Understandably upset, the customer returned to complain and ask for a refund, walking straight into TraxNYC under the assumption that’s where the purchase was made.

Trax quickly realized the mistake and explained that the jewelry wasn’t sold by his store. Still, he felt bad for the customer. Instead of brushing it off, Trax refunded the customer out of his own pocket. He then went to confront the actual seller, who happened to be one of the landlords associated with the space.

That confrontation escalated fast.

During the argument, one of the landlords spit in Trax’s face. At that point, the situation turned physical. A fist fight broke out, all of it captured on video. The footage spread across social media almost instantly. Millions of views followed. Comment sections exploded. Memes were made. TraxNYC, a jeweler known mostly within niche circles, suddenly became a mainstream viral topic.

Police eventually arrived, and arrests were made related to the altercation. Goob made it clear he wasn’t celebrating violence, but he understood how the situation reached that point. From Goob’s perspective, Trax acted out of principle. He protected a customer, defended his reputation, and reacted emotionally when disrespected in an extreme way.

The internet, of course, simplified everything into clips and hot takes. But Goob used the episode to provide context that most viral viewers never get.

Goob Laughs Off a Public Slap Threat

Another lighter moment in the episode involved Goob himself becoming the target of a bizarre threat. Goob explained that when he calls out people for lying, photoshopping, or misleading audiences online, it often leads to hostility. Most of the time, it stays verbal. Occasionally, it escalates.

In this case, someone online asked Goob who he voted for in the 2024 election. Goob responded honestly and said he didn’t vote. That answer alone triggered the person into threatening to slap Goob in public if they ever saw him.

There was no deeper argument. No follow-up debate. Just a slap threat over non-participation in voting.

Goob laughed it off on the podcast. He treated it as a perfect example of how unhinged online interactions can become. No outrage. No fear. Just disbelief and humor.

Kali Muscle Hospitalized After Gym Collapse

The tone shifted when Goob discussed Kali Muscle, who recently collapsed at the gym and was rushed to the hospital. This incident raised immediate concern given Kali’s history of a heart attack in 2021. While no official connection has been confirmed, Goob acknowledged that the situation is serious regardless.

Goob made it clear that he hopes Kali recovers fully. At the same time, he didn’t pretend there was goodwill between them. Goob accused Kali of being petty in the influencer space, specifically calling out behavior where Kali allegedly flags videos for copyright strikes when other creators discuss him.

The takeaway wasn’t celebration or condemnation. It was concern mixed with honesty. Goob separated personal feelings from basic human decency, which gave the segment a grounded feel.

Greg Doucette and the Mass Monster Controversy

Goob also weighed in on a recent controversy involving Greg Doucette. Greg criticized a highly muscular woman, warning about the health risks of pushing extreme size. While Goob doesn’t dislike Greg and even finds him informed and entertaining, he questioned the necessity of the callout.

According to Goob, there are very few women who aim to reach that level of muscularity. It’s already outside the norm. Targeting someone who is knowingly pushing boundaries, especially when they haven’t attacked anyone else, felt unnecessary.

Goob acknowledged Greg’s general approach of picking fights for content but felt this particular situation crossed into pointless negativity.

Coaches Stealing Transformation Photos

One of the more educational segments focused on coaching ethics. Goob explained that transformation photos are the most powerful marketing tool a coach has. They directly influence whether someone signs up.

Because of that, using someone else’s transformation photos and claiming them as your own is, in Goob’s view, equivalent to stealing money. It’s fraud. It misleads clients into believing results came from a system that didn’t actually produce them.

Goob contrasted this with his own pricing model. He has never charged more than $350 per month for coaching, despite knowing coaches who charge $4,000 or more. He sees those prices as unnecessary and often unjustified, especially when paired with deceptive marketing.

Will AI Replace Fitness Coaches?

Goob shut down the idea that AI will replace fitness coaches anytime soon. While he has experimented with AI coaching tools, he found them lacking where it matters most.

AI, according to Goob, is too nice. It’s overly positive. It fails to be blunt when needed. Coaching isn’t just programs and macros. It’s reading a client’s mindset, adapting to their personality, and knowing when to push or pull back.

Until AI can replicate that human understanding, Goob believes real coaches are safe.

Protein Company Exposed for Fake Labels

The episode wrapped with a discussion on a supplement company Goob exposed over a year ago for lying about protein content. Recently, a larger YouTuber rediscovered Goob’s original post and covered it, sending the story viral.

The product claimed high protein content but was later revealed to contain only 11 percent protein. Goob explained how thin margins in protein powders tempt companies to cut corners. This company sold only protein, which should have been a red flag. The great taste that helped sales was a direct result of the lack of actual protein.

Eventually, the truth came out.

Wrap Up

This episode of The Goob Show captured everything the podcast does best. Real stories, real consequences, and honest opinions without fake outrage. Whether discussing a viral fist fight in the Diamond District or the future of fitness coaching, Goob kept the focus on accountability and common sense. It was a reminder that behind every viral clip is context, and behind every online persona is a real person dealing with real outcomes.
