Hafthor Bjornsson once again shows insane strength.
Ahead of his controversial world record deadlift attempt, Hafthor Bjornsson performed a massive 470 kg/1034 lbs deadlift live on Twitch.
The 2018 World’s Strongest Man has been improving his strength over the last couple years. Since losing his title in 2019, Hafthor Bjornsson has been on a mission to regain his status as world’s strongest.
Ahead of his 501 kg/1104 lbs challenge, Bjornsson is still lifting heavy in preparation. While many strongman competitors have been critical of the upcoming challenge, Hafthor Bjornsson remains focus on the task.
Just earlier today, Hafthor Bjornsson took to Twitch to showcase his massive strength. Still shy of the 501 kg deadlift, Bjornsson lifts 470 kg with incredible ease.
It’s clear that Hafthor Bjornsson possesses massive strength. The interesting thing will be to see how the community reacts if he’s successful. Even if he pulls off the deadlift challenge many will contend that the feat is illegitimate because it wasn’t done in competition. While that notion has merit its also unfortunate that such accomplishment could potentially be written off.
What’s your opinion on the upcoming world record deadlift challenge set to air live on ESPN?
