Hafthor Bjornsson Begins Training for Boxing Match with Eddie Hall

Hafthor Bjornsson is preparing for war, but has a ways to go.

The rivalry between Hafthor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall has finally reached it’s climax. Sure, tough talk in regards to strength competitions is one thing, but once you’re ready to throw hands you know the beef has taken a turn. Now, rather than settle their disagreements in a strength competition, Hafthor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall will square off in a boxing match.

The match, scheduled for September 2021, is being billed as the heaviest fight in history. That should be fact checked, but that’s besides the point. The point is that two athletes known for lifting over 1000 Lbs will be throwing their ham hocks at each other. That in itself should generate a decent amount of interest.

With the but scheduled for 2021 it gives both Hafthor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall a chance to develop their hands. Both men have trained before but it appears that Bjornsson is taking this fight seriously.

Admitting he has a long way to go, Hafthor Bjornsson seems poised to take on the challenge.

“Long journey ahead. I’ve been training boxing now for about a week. I need to improve my game a lot and I’m looking forward to putting in the work! This is my 6th session with @skuliarmannsson ?? when I started this journey 10 days ago, I weighed 206kg now I’m down to 196kg. I will drop much more weight in the coming weeks and months as I work on my endurance and technique.”

Neither man is a pugilist so it will be interesting to see what kind of chaos they can create come September 2021.
