When the city of New Haven, Connecticut is mentioned – the first thing that probably comes to most people’s minds is Yale. But for bodybuilders – it’s also home to one of the most hardcore gyms in the country. Montanari Bros. Powerhouse Gym has been a staple of the bodybuilding community in Connecticut for decades and while it’s not in a major booming bodybuilding state like California – it’s certainly one of the most hardcore gyms within the United States.

That’s why Rich Gaspari had to head over there with guest co-host Berry DeMey to put it to the test and see just how hardcore it really is. This family run and family focused gym is full of passionate bodybuilders and lovers of fitness – and that feeling is so strong when you step in through the doors that it basically bleeds out of the walls. They also proudly sport some of the most insanely unique old school equipment that you just don’t find in many other gyms.
