HYROX continues to grow around the world and that includes the U.S.
HYROX is quickly becoming the next big thing in the fitness world.
Dubbed the “World Series of Fitness Racing,” HYROX includes CrossFit athletes, runners, weightlifters, and hybrid athletes. Recently, it announced that it has added close to 50 shows for the 2025-26 season, bring the total over 100 for the first time.

HYROX co-founder Moritz Furste commented on the recent growth in a press release.
“The demand for HYROX last year was incredible, but we recognise that many athletes missed out on the opportunity to race at their preferred events, so we wanted to help fix that this season.”
HYROX expects around 1.2 million athletes competing in the upcoming season. This is a major boost from the previous year and an even bigger jump since it began in 2017. The first-ever race took place in Hamburg, Germany with 650 athletes. This includes eight-time CrossFit champion Tia-Clair Toomey. She has been training to compete in this capacity over the last year.

HYROX Preparing for Major Expansion Next Season
Toomey’s gym, PRVN Fitness, has been apart of this expansion. It has made significant investment in HYROX programming and coaching. This has led to other CrossFit gyms offered HYROX classes. It would not be surprising to see many other elite CrossFit athletes begin competing in HYROX.
“Last season was monumental for HYROX in terms of growth, and we plan to continue on this trajectory and keep working towards our ambitions for this sport.”
Toomey continued to solidify herself as the greatest to ever do it with her eighth title during the CrossFit Games at the beginning of the month. She totaled 902 points, cruising past Lucy Campbell, who finished second with 720 points. Olivia Kerstetter finished third. This was Toomey’s eighth title in the past nine years with the biggest point differential at 182.
On the men’s side, Jayson Hopper was able to reach the top of the competition for the first time. He transitioned into CrossFit four years ago after a college football career. He has now competed in the CrossFit Games five times and has earned his first victory. Hopper’s previous high was fourth place, which took place last year.
HYROX competitions are scheduled to come to the U.S. in Las Vegas, Miami, New York, Houston, Phoenix and many other locations. The next competition will take place on Aug. 23 in Beijing.
