Jay Cutler Shares Full Chest Routine, Workout Tips

Former Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler revealed his entire chest workout on YouTube Wednesday.

Jay Cutler has built a fitness empire on top of his 4x Olympia wins and shows no signs of stropping. In the past decade alone, the former Mr. Olympia has founded a business producing supplements for bodybuilders, Cutler Nutrition, and stared in a series of workout videos. Last weekend, Jay shared his entire chest routine, complete with exact sets and reps, with his followers on YouTube. JayCutlerTV, has more than 320k followers. 

In this most recent video shared to the channel, Cutler takes us through the nitty-gritty of being a bodybuilder and his signature chest workout. He often posts updates on his progress to his channel, but this was the first time he offered a detailed set of instructions for fans to help with their own training. Insight into the habits of a pro and living legend like Jay Cutler are few and far between; not many who make it to the level of competing at the Olympia are willing to give away their secrets for free like this.

Jay starts with his calves as a warmup to working on his chest. A summary of the workout is below:

Calves

STANDING CALF RAISE — 2 “Feel Sets,” 3x 10-12 reps

SEATED CALF RAISE — 3x 10-12 reps

DONKEY CALF RAISE — 3x 10-12 reps

Chest

INCLINE PRESS — 2 “Feel Sets,” 3x work sets 12-15 reps

FLAT DUMBBELL PRESS — 3x 10 reps

HORIZONTAL CHEST PRESS — 3x 11 reps

DUMBBELL PULLOVER — 3x 8 reps

Jay put an emphasis on warming up and starting with the calves during his video. He also talked about the possibility of putting more workout videos on his channel in the future. We would love to see them, Jay!
