John Meadows explains the most common big mistake young aspiring bodybuilders make when they explore performance enhancing drugs.

John Meadows is a bodybuilder who has consistently made one thing clear throughout our interview segments – clarity of information is key when it comes to the health and success of bodybuilders. This is especially true in today’s era, where anyone can post a video on social media and claim to know what they are talking about. While more experienced bodybuilders may know the difference between bullshit information and helpful insights, younger bodybuilders can easily make the mistake of trusting the wrong info. This becomes more problematic when it comes to PEDs. In our latest GI Exclusive interview, John Meadows reveals the biggest mistake young bodybuilders make about performance enhancing drugs.

When John Meadows trains in the gym, he’ll often get younger bodybuilders coming up to him and asking questions. These questions can range to different tips and tricks to becoming a better bodybuilder. But the most common one he gets is about how big of drug doses they should take. What is most concerning, they often suggest confirmation of doses that are far too big. Where are they initially getting this information? Most likely “gurus” on the internet.

This is the biggest mistake younger bodybuilders make in the upcoming generation. They are jumping into PEDs way too early and they are taking way too big of doses. The information flooding via the internet is over-saturating the industry – and young aspiring bodybuilders don’t know the difference between crap information and experienced information.

This segues into a bigger trending topic – should social media platforms censor certain content to help protect from misinformation? Especially when it comes to potential misinformation about drugs. John Meadows is torn on the issue. He believes in free speech – but now speech can reach a wider group of people faster than ever before. If misinformation leads to the danger of young people – could censoring be a good tactic to take?
