JON JONES VS. DANIEL CORMIER: THE TWITTER BEEF GETS UGLY…REAL UGLY.

Twitter beef jj

And the vitriol spews

With news of Daniel Cormier having to pull out of the UFC 197 main event due to shin injury, most of the MMA world was in sad disappointment. With the animosity between these two reaching a boiling point, and Jon Jones finally getting a driver, we thought we were in for a real treat on April 23rd. When we  found out the news not only was there the initial disappointment but there was a further sigh when we found out close second Anthony “Rumble” Johnson couldn’t take the bout either. However, it seems that not being able to fight physical hasn’t stopped the verbal wars. A new batch of beef started yesterday when Ariel Helwani revealed to Jon Jones on the “MMA Hour” that Daniel Cormier offered to house and train his replacement Ovince St. Preux. Jon Jones quickly responded calling DC a “pussy” and taking to twitter shortly after with the same message.

Willing to train OSP and is willing to pay for his expenses? You are a sheep in wolves clothing and I see right through you. pussy.

— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) April 4, 2016

As you can guess the beef didn’t stop there with things getting down right nasty on both ends.  While I love the current champ, unlike most people – I haven’t forgotten that he’s earned that strap via Anthony Johnson and Alexander Gustafsson, I don’t think arguing is his strong point. Not that he can’t keep up verbally, but I feel he gets more frazzled emotionally. I think Jon Jones stays more centered and clear headed throughout the storm. If I were DC I’d keep my head down and train. When I did respond, it would be short, to the point, and deadly. Leave it at that. But it seems DC can’t help but play the game. What I don’t understand is why more people aren’t calling out Anthony Johnson? According to Jon Jones himself the UFC called him saying Rumble had already accepted the fight. Jon spoke to his team and called back to accept the fight the next day. All of sudden Rumble had to undergo dental surgery and new opponent had to be found – Enter Ovince St. Preux. I don’t know about you, but that seems a bit odd. Either way the bad blood continues. We’ve got the whole twitter battle for you below.   Willing to train OSP and is willing to pay for his expenses? You are a sheep in wolves clothing and I see right through you. pussy. — Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) April 4, 2016

Coward is running from the scene of a crime without checking on person you hurt. Coward is refusing to fight Gustafson. Coward is ufc 151

— Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma) April 4, 2016

Jon jones I have never been afraid of you or anyone in my entire life. You calling me coward is insane. Your day will come bitch. — Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma) April 4, 2016

Jones you can’t hurt me, u lunch like a bitch. Ur not winning decision next time. Just don’t get ur dumb ass arrested again. Loser junkie

— Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma) April 4, 2016

O my god jones is cool he took late notice fight, yea I’d fight osp too. I’d do it on 1 day notice. Harder fight you’d tuck ur tail again — Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma) April 4, 2016

Remember jones I didn’t call u coward when u moved our 1st fight due to injury hypocrite. That’s biggest word I’ll use when talking to u.

— Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma) April 5, 2016

Last tweet. Jon ur dumb! Like really dumb. Get off ur high horse and stop riding the white horse. Junkie , I’m gonna rip ur head off! — Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma) April 5, 2016

Lol you mad bro?

— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) April 5, 2016

Daniel just please explain to us all why you would help OSP if you truly want to fight me and legitimize yourself as the champion? — Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) April 5, 2016

Simple question. I’ll be waiting for your simple explanation

— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) April 5, 2016

Here’s another question for you while we all still wait for your first answer. Are you hurt or are you injured? — Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) April 5, 2016

Lol we? ? who’s we? You and your vagina? https://t.co/HfgmiSCrjG

— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) April 5, 2016

Me, my team and any reasonable human being. https://t.co/hope1dwWG2 — Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma) April 5, 2016

OK stop writing me I’m done with you for the day
