Julius Maddox just etched his names into the world record books!

No matter who you are or what sport you’re into, feats of strength are always going to hold a special place in your heart. Don’t believe me? Think about the movies we consume, the television we watch, many works of art showcasing the incredible feats of potential human capability. It’s what makes the Hulk and Captain America so compelling to watch on the big screen, larger than life individuals performing feats of superhuman strength.

But while we have to suspend disbelief when it comes to movies and television, seeing the real thing gives you a visceral reaction, a feeling that something of true merit has been accomplished before your eyes, or at least through the computer screen.

Powerlifter Julius Maddox evoked that visceral reaction for everyone watching his latest competitive meet.

On a mission to accomplish the nigh impossible, Julius Maddox has been training to establish himself as one of the strongest humans to ever walk the Earth. Consistent hard work and training has gotten him to the point of looking just over the precipice of all-time greatness. The countless days in the gym training, the numerous powerlifting events attended, all of them led to the moment that he would make history.

The Instagram posts below show the moment that Julius Maddox etched his name in the record books and broke the bench press record with an enormous 739.6 lbs lift.
