Germany is one country with its fair share of great bodybuilders. The first that would come to mind for many current followers of the sport is no doubt Dennis Wolf. Wolf has placed within the top five of the Olympia’s open weight competition for years now and has shown great development throughout his career. The German bodybuilder has proven himself to be a formidable foe to fellow competitors like Phil Heath, Kai Greene, and Shawn Roden.

Though Wolf is certainly a great bodybuilder, the truth is that he may not be the greatest to hail from Germany. Jusup Wilkosz was perhaps the greatest bodybuilder to ever compete from Germany. Wilkosz was a huge presence during the 80s and had one of the best physiques of the era, a fact that he doesn’t get nearly enough credit for. If you didn’t know Jusup Wilkosz before then check out the Instagram posting below.

One of Germany’s greatest bodybuilders. Jusup Wilkosz was know as the German Hercules. He was 6′ and weighed 240-245 pounds, He turned pro in 1979 winning the IFBB World Cup.
