Has Flex Lewis Become More Massive Than The Legend Kevin Levrone?

Continuing to grow.

In the current landscape of bodybuilding there are many different divisions. While many may dislike these new divisions the truth of the matter is that they add a sense of theatrics to the show that wasn’t present in the endeavor before. Back in the day there was lightweight bodybuilding, heavyweight bodybuilding, and eventually female bodybuilding. That was it. Beyond that there was no room for any other categories. But as time has passed the sport has evolved into something else, something bigger. Despite that the staples of the sport still remain the heavyweight or open weight class as well as the lightweight class re-branded the 212 division. The current king of the lighter weight class James “Flex” Lewis is absolutely massive, many believing he would match up well with those in the open weight division. A recent photo may prove that theory to be true.

Flex Lewis once again dominated the opposition at the 2016 Olympia. With every passing year and every new victory the speculation that Flex Lewis moving up a weight class to get a real challenge continues to grow. Nevertheless, it seems that the 212 champion is content to carve out a legacy in the lightweight class. While that may be commendable, you’d have to admit that the prospect of Flex Lewis challenging Phil Heath is certainly enticing.

A recent photo with the resurgent Kevin Levrone may go a long way in convincing Flex Lewis to battle the other bodybuilders in the open weight division. While the photo may highlight how massive Flex Lewis is, it also demonstrates how far Kevin Levrone has come with less than a year of training. Flex Lewis and Kevin Levrone are truly impressive in the below picture captured behind the scenes at the 2016 Olympia. Check out the impressive photo below.

My #MondayMotivation photo with the legend @kevinlevrone backstage @mrolympiallc 2016 – Kevin was a massive inspiration to me (and still is) growing up watching the BFTO and Full Blown videos, never did I envision I have the chance to take a photo years later, competing the same time, backstage, and prior to me picking up my own Olympia win. #Respect #ThankYou #KevinLevrone #motivationMonday #FlexLewis #NeverGiveUp #DreamBig
