Kevin Levrone’s life story Born To Overcome, is available to stream, watch or download on Amazon Prime Video and Vimeo. Born To Overcome is an hour long documentary, directed by Vlad Yudin (Generation Iron, Ronnie Coleman The King, Dream Big The Olympia Movie) that follow’s Kevin from the very first moments of his Arnold Classic Australia 2018 comeback all the way through to the end. It showcases the physical and mental struggles, the laser focus, and a final reflective moment after his competition.
Losing both of his parents to cancer at a young age, Levrone first took an interest in bodybuilding as a young child. He had an older cousin who was in the military and who inspired him to get into fitness and strength training. He earned his pro card in 1991 at the NPC Finals, and from there it was off to the races. From there, he became a threat to the ultimate prize in bodybuilding and it led to intense training.
In retirement, Levrone admitted that since he is not vying for the Sandow Trophy anymore, he does not have to be in that mindset anymore.
