IRON WILL! Khabib Nurmagomedov Swims in FREEZING Dagestan River For Training

Khabib Nurmagomedov apparently swims in freezing rivers for fun.

There’s no mistaking who the baddest UFC Lightweight is on the planet. Khabib Nurmagomedov has turned away every opponent he’s faced in professional mixed martial arts competition, including the wildly popular Conor McGregor last October. His most recent bout between Dustin Poirier once again showcased why Khabib Nurmagomedov is the champion at Lightweight and one of the most feared fighters in the division.

Many have often questioned how Khabib is able to completely dominate opponents with relative ease. Is there something the Dagestan, Russian native is doing that trumps the competition?

The simple answer is yes.

Khabib Nurmagomedov isn’t your average fighter and there’s a clear reason for that. Name how many fighters you know who have wrestled a bear. None come to mind other than Nurmagomedov himself (although the circumstances were perhaps tilted in his favor).

Khabib Nurmagomedov dominated Dustin Poirier at UFC 242.

But the UFC Lightweight champion has an unusual training regimen to say the least. It’s not enough for Khabib Nurmagomedov to hit pads or to do some road work. No, Khabib Nurmagomedov clearly enjoys pushing his limits and seeing how far his mental strength can carry him to success.

With all that said, the below video featuring the UFC Lightweight champion shows Khabib Nurmagomedov swimming in a freezing river in his native Dagestan as part of his most recent training. It’s certainly the kind of fearlessness that has translated to his MMA game.
