WATCH: Khabib With Striking! Zabit Magomedsharipov Could be the Next UFC Star!

Zabit Magomedsharipov and Calvin Kattar are stars on the rise.

If you haven’t heard the name Zabit Magomedsharipov don’t be down on yourself. After all, there are so many UFC fights these days that it’s easy to miss out on some of mixed martial art’s up and coming stars.

Zabit Magomedsharipov has been described by many as Khabib Nurmagomedov with insane striking ability. That comparison truly isn’t far off as the Dagestan fighter is quite adept at wrestling and combines it well with his Wushu Sanda striking arsenal.

From spinning kicks to flying knees to his high amplitude suplexes, Zabit Magomedsharipov is a handful for anyone in the UFC Featherweight division. His battle against Kyle Bochniak back at UFC 223 showcased two things about Zabit. One, that he can fight exceptionally well with a broken hand. Two, he has a seemingly endless supply of techniques in his tool box.

But Zabit now faces a pretty hefty challenge in the form of Calvin Kattar.

While many are high on Zabit, Calvin Kattar has shown that he is a truly dangerous threat in the UFC Featherweight division and possesses the abilities to potentially derailed the Magomedsharipov hype train.

Heading into this weekend’s battle, both Zabit Magomedsharipov and Calvin Kattar have the opportunity to announce themselves to the rest of the division. A dynamic win for either man could shoot them up the rankings and into the short list for a potential title shot.

How does each man get the job done? Take a listen to the podcast below to find out!
